Nagpur: Nagpur Divisional Commissioner
Sanjeev Kumar has been transferred to New Delhi, official
sources said.
Kumar handed over the charge to additional commissioner,
on Tuesday but there is no official word as to who will
succeed him as head of the Nagpur revenue division which looks
after the work of six collectorates of Nagpur, Bhandara,
Gondia, Wardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli.
Kumar, an IAS officer from 1993 batch, had joined as
Nagpur divisional commissioner in July 2009.
He had barely worked here for ten months before seeking
deputation to the national capital.
Now he will be joining as special private secretary to
Union minister for science, technology and personnel
Prithviraj Chavan.
Kumar had worked as CEO of Raigad zilla parishad,
collector of Gondia and Jalgaon districts, sales tax
commissioner and managing director of Maharashtra
Agro-industries Development Corporation.
