Eight IPS officers transferred in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Chhattisgarh government on Friday transferred eight IPS officers and a state police officer.

Accordingly, officials said, IG Anand Tiwari who was with Police Headquarters would now be IG (Training).

R K Vij IG (Planning and Management) has been given additional responsibility of Administration also.

Similarly, Rajesh Mishra, IG for Chhattisgarh Armed Forces and Naxal operations has been IG (Crime Research Department). He would also look after transport and railways, officials said.

IG, Sarguja Range R C Patel has been transferred as IG (Lok Abhiyojan Sanchanalya).

Patel would be replaced by P N Tiwari.

S K Jha, Superintendent of Police Jangir Champa has been transferred as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters, Raipur.

Anand Chabra, Assistant Inspector General of Police would be Superintendent of Police, Jangir-Champa.

Ratanlal Dangi, IG, Korba would be Superintendent of Police, Rajnandgaon.

P K Das, a state police officer has been appointed as Korba Superintendent of Police.
