Gurgaon: Police on Tuesday registered an FIR
against three persons for developing a colony illegally in
Haryana's Naharpur-Rupa village.
The FIR against Jaipal Singh, Dinesh and Umesh Aggarwal
of Mansarovar Properties was registered in Sadar Police
Station on the complaint of District Town Planner
(Enforcement).
The matter of a colony being developed illegally by some
persons in a land under stay was brought to the notice of
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda by the villagers today
when he was on tour to Gurgaon following which he directed
Deputy Commissioner Rajender Kataria to get the land vacated
and ensure compliance of the High Court orders.
The land measuring about 5.5 acres was acquired by the
state government in 1990 for developing Transport Nagar. At
that time the land owners filed a Civil Writ Petition in the
Punjab and Haryana High Court which was admitted and the court
passed a dispossession order granting stay on the land.
Since 1990, the prime land situated on NH-8 was lying
vacant. However, since last few years some people started
developing an unauthorised colony on it and started selling
plots. The site plan was supplied to various property dealers
in the city.
