Mumbai: Poor visibility forced runway operations to be shut down at the Mumbai airport on Friday, affecting many flights in and out of Mumbai.
Fog forced the airport authorities to stop all operations, affecting at least 14 flights since 2 pm. The affected flights include Kingfisher’s Ahmedabad-Mumbai flight which was forced to return to Ahmedabad.
Jet Airways flights have also been affected. The runway may begin operating at 6pm.
