Dhemaji (Assam): Four militants, belonging to the anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland, were arrested and arms and ammunitions recovered in Assam's Dhemaji district, a senior police official said on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip off, police held the four ultras with one kg RDX, three grenades, two revolvers and several gelatin sticks from Uriumghat in Jonai sub-division last evening, Dhemaji Superintendent of Police S R Hazarika said.

The militants of the anti-talk Ranjan Daimary faction of the NDFB were caught when they were on their way to Arunachal Pradesh from Dibrugarh district in Assam after committing subversive activities in Dhemaji.

The four have been identified as Kumar Narzary, Palen Swargiary, Sanjib Basumatary and Dampharang Daimary, he added.
