Alappuzha (Ker): Two gangsters accused in the murder of young businessman Paul Muthoot George were today remanded to police custody for eight days by a magistrate court at Ramankari in the district.

The duo, Om Prakash and Puthenpalam Rajesh, are 15th and 16th accused in the case. They were produced before the First Class Judicial Magistrate Subitha Chirackal, who remanded them for eight days.

The two were suspected to have travelled with George on the day he was murdered here on August 22.

They had escaped from the spot in George's car and fled to the neighbouring state. They surrendered before a magistrate court in Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu and brought to Kerala last week.
