Farukkhabad: The government in collaboration
with the private sector is finalising a scheme to provide
employment to the poor and minorities, Corporate Affairs
Minister Salman Khursheed said on Wednesday.
He said instead of enforcing reservation in the private
sector, the scheme would run in cooperation with the corporate
world.
He said there is great demand of skilled drivers,
fitters, electricians, security guards and nurses in the
corporate sector.
"The Central government will join hands with the private
sector and companies to provide employment to people living
below the poverty line and minorities," Khursheed told
reporters here.
Under the scheme, he said, "first training would be given
to eligible candidates on the basis of which employment will
be provided."
Khursheed said the government had also decided to
implement a carbon credit system to check pollution.
