Guj riots: Modi to cooperate with SIT probe Ahmedabad: Reacting to the SIT's summons in connection with Ehsan Jaffery murder case in 2002 riots, Gujarat government Thursday night said the Chief Minister will cooperate with the process of law.

"The state government and the Chief Minister would cooperate with the process of law," Gujarat government spokesperson Jaynarayan Vyas said.

He, however, refused to comment further saying whatever is required to follow the process of law will be done by the state government.

Acting on the complaint of Zakia Jaffery, widow of slain MP Ehsan Jaffery, the Supreme court constituted Special Investigation Team has summoned Modi, directing him to appear before the authority on March 21.

Jaffery has accused Modi and 62 others of hatching a conspiracy to carry out anti-minority riots in the state in 2002 following burning of a coach of the Sabarmati Express near Godhra railway station in February 2002 in which 59 people, mostly karsevaks, died.

Over 1,000 people, mostly belonging to the minority community, were killed in the riots which had engulfed the state for several months.

SIT is bised body of central gov. encouraged by SUPRIM COURT. Wants only to defame GUJ. C.M. this is only single point agenda for this body.

Why central gov. led by congres party is not farming SIT to probe SIKH RIOTS

Why not farming SIT to probe in J&K whre every day hindus are killed.

Am I the only one bothered by this?

On one hand, the criminal Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan has been let out by U. P. government following protests by Islamists and on the other hand, the CM of a State is being summoned for a criminal investigation.

Why don`t Sonia Gandhi and Co. openly declare that they don`t want hinduism to remain in the country?

It will increase popularity of modi in gujrat. We people of gujrat do not interset in out come from SIT investigation We are with modi in his vision for gujrat. Secondly Abu Azmi and other congress MLA from UP supported terrorist after and before batla acounter but no one talking about them. It seems seuo secularism in our country. Even media today favouring seuo secularist. We believe in equlity with equal justice and equal growth of people of india not only hindu or muslim or etc.
