Mumbai: A staff vehicle of private
carrier Jet Airways parked near its Ahmedabad-bound aircraft
caught fire at the airport here today but the blaze was
quickly extinguished.
The fire was put out and no one was injured, a Mumbai
International Airport Ltd spokesperson told PTI here.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, the
spokesperson said.
"The Jet Airways Maruti Omni vehicle caught fire on
Bay No 25 at around 16.30 hours. The fire was immediately
extinguished and the affected vehicle shifted to Jet Airways
maintenance facility," he said.
Flight operations at the airport were unaffected, the
spokesperson said.
