Bokaro (Jharkhand): A Maoist, an expert
in making landmines and facing 24 cases, was on Tuesday arrested
from Bokaro district, a senior police officer said.
Pandu Majhi, a self-styled Maoist area commander, was
nabbed at North Dumri and a pistol, cartridges, a motorcycle
and Rs 3,200 in cash were seized from him, Superintendent of
Police, S K Singh, told newsmen here.
"He is involved in sixteen cases of Maoist violence in
Bokaro district and eight in Hazaribagh district. He is an
expert in making landmines," he said.
The police let off eight other persons after
questioning, he added.
