Indore: A convict, who was awarded
life imprisonment on charges of murder, managed to escape from
a court here, police said on Wednesday.
Additional Session Judge S K Shrivastava awarded life
imprisonment to Dinesh yesterday after finding him guilty of
killing one Anil Mahendra in November 2006.
While the order was being penned by the Session Judge,
Dinesh, who was on bail, hid himself under a table in the
courtroom and thereafter escaped from the court, they said.
Dinesh killed Mahendra over a money dispute with some
sharp-edged weapon under the influence of alcohol, police
said.
A separate case has been registered against Dinesh,
they said, adding efforts are on to nab him.
