Vadodara: Irate passengers attacked a ticket examiner (TTE) alleging that he had pushed a ticketless youth from the train leading to his death.

The TTE, B B Sharma, was admitted to a railway hospital where his condition was stated to be serious, A Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager-Vadodara, said.

Shrivastava said he had formed a three-member "fact finding team" to inquire into the incident and it was likely to submit a report by tomorrow evening.

Passengers of Mumbai-bound Viragram train allegedly surrounded Sharma yesterday when the train halted at Makarpura station and started punching and kicking him before dragging him to the platform. They beat him with wooden sticks and threw chairs at him.

They alleged that Sharma had slapped a youth Arvind Ninama, who was travelling without valid ticket, and later threw him out of the train. Ninama later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

"The passengers have no right to take law into their own hands and they should have handed him (Sharma) over to the police for taking action against him," Srivastava said Police rounded up a youth from the site and has registered a complaint against the passengers.

People who travel without a ticket are not exactly responsible citizens, so why is everyone blaming a poor railway employee who was just doing his job. The Ninama guy should have thought of the consequences before deciding to travel without a ticket and also before he decided to dodge Mr. Sharma by jumping off the moving train. And, by the way, those passengers had no right to attack Mr. Sharma without knowing the truth. He was just doing his duty. The people who attacked him were not even proper respectable citizens or else they would have thought before taking the law into heir hands. This is criminal action and all those involved should be punished. Moreover, the railways have to become really strict in their dealings with people traveling without a ticket.

Mr. A Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager-Vadodara, if The passengers have no right to take law into their own hands `` then TTE does not have right to push a passenger out of train and kill. Please look into reason why people take law into their own hands ``becoz there is no law and order in india. Judicial system sucks, corrupt Judges are busy making money, People do not get justice. Sharma should be booked under 302 IPC annd punished with death sentence, then people would stop taking law into their own hands!!
