Hyderabad: Union Minister and AICC general
secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh M Veerappa Moily on Saturday
brushed aside reports that few more members from K Rosaiah's
Council of Ministers were planning to quit over demand to
appoint Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy the Chief Minister.
"It is all the creation of the media. There is no truth
in it," Moily told reporters in Hyderabad.
Moily said the decision of Women Welfare Minister Konda
Surekha to quit the Cabinet was purely "personal." He ruled
out any disciplinary action against her.
The senior Congress leader is here to discuss the party's
preparations for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation
(GHMC) elections scheduled for November 23.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Rosaiah, Union Minister of
State for Defence MM Pallam Raju and Congress Rajya Sabha
member KVP Ramachandra Rao met Moily to discuss issues
related to the GHMC elections.
Later, Moily visited the Andhra Pradesh Congress
Committee headquarters Gandhi Bhavan and held a meeting with
PCC President D Srinivas, city MPs, MLAs and other senior
leaders on the upcoming civic polls.
