Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Minister Jagat
Prakash Nadda, who has been appointed as BJP General
Secretary, on Tuesday said he would soon quit ministry to take up
the new assignment.
"I will resign as minister in Himachal Pradesh to join
as BJP national general secretary to honour party's policy of
'one man one post'," Nadda told reporters here.
Nadda is Parliamentary Affairs, Forest and Environment
minister presently in the Prem Kumar Dhumal ministry.
The new BJP general secretary, who had worked with
party President Nitin Gadkari in BJP's youth wing in early
90s, said he wishes to concentrate on strengthening party
cadre in the country.
Nadda is third time MLA from Bilaspur assembly
constituency in HP.
50-year-old Nadda has earlier served as president of
All India Bhartiya Janata Yuva morcha.
