Indore: The toll due to the deadly H1N1 virus in last 33 days has risen to 13 in the city today with the death of a woman from swine flu here.

Fifty-nine-year-old Shakuntla Utgiriye, from the neighbouring Ratlam district, died of swine flu in a local private hospital during treatment late last night, Health Department sources said.

During the laboratory test reports, swab samples of Utgiriye were found positive for H1N1 virus, they said adding that she was undergoing treatment for the swine flu since January 10 in that hospital.

With her death, the swine flu toll rose to 13 in the city in the last 33 days, sources said.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old woman, who had been admitted to the Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital yesterday, also died today with symptoms synonymous to swine flu during treatment, they said.

Her swab samples have been sent to Jabalpur for testing and only after receiving the report, it could be found whether she died of swine flu or not, sources said.
