Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Government on Wednesday
suspended another IAS officer, Dr Rajesh Rajora from the
service following Income Tax raid at his Bhopal residence last
year.
Besides Rajora, the government also suspended present
Health Director, Dr Ashok Sharma from the service as the
Lokayukta is probing serious complaints against him in six
cases and an Income Tax (I-T) department's report has also
said that his wealth is disproportionate to his known sources
of income, official sources said.
Rajora's house was raided last year by the I-T
authorities following which he was transferred to Gwalior as
Member of Revenue Board.
The I-T department has submitted a report after the
scrutiny of the seized documents to the government following
which it has issued his suspension orders as his conduct was
found against the Rule Three of the All India Services Rules,
1968, the sources said.
Recently the State Government suspended the IAS couple --
Arvind Joshi and Tinoo Joshi -- following I-T raids at their
residence which unearthed Rs 3.04 crore unaccounted cash.
