Lucknow: The political developments in the
Samajwadi Party in the aftermath of Amar Singh's resignation
from all key posts were an internal matter of that party, RJD
supremo Lalu Prasad said here on Saturday.
"Such things do happen and I do not want to comment on
the affairs in someone else's party," Prasad, whose party had
once sewed up an alliance with the SP, told reporters here.
The ongoing happenings in the SP were an "internal
matter" of that party, he said in reply to a question by
mediapersons.
Prasad, who arrived here this afternoon, said he was
travelling extensively to further strengthen his party which
had a very strong presence everywhere.
"Right now, I am concentrating on my own party."
On today's train accident in Uttar Pradesh, he said all
those responsible for it should be identified and punished.
"Such accidents are taking place frequently, but not
much attention is being paid. Those responsible for this
should be brought to book," the former Railway Minister said.
Three passengers were killed and 14 injured when the
Kalindi Express slammed into stationary Shram Shakti Express
in dense fog near Tundla.
