Patna: The Left parties today decided to
launch a concerted movement across Bihar to press for
implementation of land reforms, price rise and infrastructure
improvement measures in the flood-hit areas.
The decision was taken at a meeting of its
co-ordination committee at the Communist party of India (CPI)
headquarters here, where it was also decided to convene a
state-level convention on October 31.
"The convention would take a decision about launching
a movement against Nitish Kumar's government for not
implementing the recommendations of D Bandhopadhya committee
reports on land reforms submitted to the state government and
failure of the Centre to launch pro-people schemes," Sharma
told reporters after the meeting.
The joint meeting of the Left parties was also
attended by leaders from CPI, CPI-M, Forward Bloc and RSP.
