Patna: RJD on Friday asked its MLAs to explain
their position for not being present in Bihar assembly
during the vote on an opposition-sponsored cut motion on the
budgetary demands for the state Rural Development department
yesterday.
"We have asked our MLAs who remained absent in the house
at the time of voting on the budgetary demands for the state
Rural Development Department for 2010-11 yesterday", state RJD
chief Abdul Bari Siddiqui said.
Siddiqui said the party MLAs should have given prior
information about their inability to attend the proceedings
at the time of voting on the budget.
When his attention was drawn to the absence of leader
of opposition in the house Rabri Devi and party's deputy
leader in the house Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Siddiqui said Rabri
Devi had taken prior permission for not not being present,
while Khan was "seriously ill".
