alliance with LJP, CPI and CPI-M to have common candidates in
all the 81 seats in Jharkhand, where assembly elections would
be held in November-December.
"We have arrived at a seat-sharing pact with LJP of
Ram Vilas Paswan, CPI and CPI-M and common candidate will
contest from each seat," RJD general secretary Ram Kripal
Yadav told reporters after a meeting of the leaders of the
parties at the residence of RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
"The announcement about the alliance is a mere formality.
Paswan is likely to be here and the names of the candidates
will soon be declared jointly," he said.
The leaders of LJP, CPI, CPI-M, however, remained
tightlipped on the issue of alliance.
