Baripada (Orissa): Two hardcore Maoists, allegedly involved in burning a forest beat house in Similipal National Park, were on Saturday arrested from Orissa's Mayurbhanj district, the police said.

The police said Debendra Purty and Ramrai Bari of Bada Uski village in Jashipur police station area, were nabbed during a special operation conducted on the basis of intelligence, they said.

"The duo were involved in setting fire on a forest beat house at Uski and giving shelter to the Maoist guerrillas from outside the state in the national park," Mayurbhanj district Additional S P Chintamani Panda said.
