Muzaffarnagar: Tension prevailed in two
villages after a student was stabbed to death at Balwa village
in the district, police said here on Thursday.
Brijender, a resident of Balwa village, was stabbed to
death by some unidentified persons of Lilone village yesterday
over some old enmity.
Enraged over the incident, locals pelted stones and
blocked the highway for several hours yesterday demanding
immediate arrest of the accused. The blockade was lifted
when senior police officers assured them of stern action
against the accused driver.
Forces have been deployed in the area to avoid any
untoward incident in the region, police said.
