Bhopal: Leader of the opposition in the Lok
Sabha Sushma Swaraj on Monday justified BJP's decision to join
hands with Shibu Soren's JMM in Jharkhand, saying it was the
best option before the party for forming a government there.
She also said that Soren was no longer a tainted leader.
If the BJP were not to join hands with Soren, it would
have either led to the Congress forming the government or
there would have been a president's rule in the state, Swaraj
told reporters here.
The senior BJP leader said that in the eyes of her party,
Soren was no longer a tainted leader as he has got a court
verdict in his favour.
Swaraj said that the decision to join hands with the
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to form a government in Jharkhand had
been approved by the BJP's parliamentary board.
