Chandigarh: Swine flu on Thursday claimed the life
of a person in the city, taking the pandemic toll in the
region to 41.
Asha Devi of Himachal Pradesh succumbed to the virus in a
city hospital, a health official here said.
Meanwhile, six more positive swine flu cases were
registered here taking the number of such patients to 305.
Two girls, one aged two and a half years and the other in
her teens, died of swine flu yesterday in Faridkot district of
Punjab which has reported a total of 26 deaths so far due to
the deadly disease.
Five positive cases were also registered in Ludhiana,
Jalandhar and Bathinda taking the total number of such
patients to 157 in Punjab.
