Jammu: Union Minister for New and
Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah on Saturday said talks between
India and Pakistan can resume only when our neighbouring
country takes action against those involved in Mumbai attacks.
"Indian stand is that terrorism be wiped out and those
involved in Mumbai attack be punished," he told reporters in
reply to a question after attending a function organised by
JK Peace Foundation (JKPF) on the occasion of 'Shaheedi Divas'
of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi here.
When India feels that Pakistan has taken action
against the perpetrators of Mumbai attack, talks will resume,
he said.
On continued infiltration attempts along the
International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu
and Kashmir, he said our forces are ready to foil their
attempts.
When his attention was drawn to Zardari's statement
that the turmoil in J&K is ideological, the Union Minister
said, "Some statements are for consumption of their own
people and they say what they want for them."
