Mumbai: Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil on Thursday warned of a terror threat to the state assembly.
Patil, while speaking to reporters, said that inputs from intelligence agencies have suggested that key installations in the state including Maharashtra Assembly were on the terrorists’ radar.
The Home Minister also did not rule out the possibility of terrorists managing to sneak into the state assembly with explosives hidden in vehicles to execute their nefarious plans.
In view of the threat, a tight security arrangement has been put in place in and around the assembly.
He also informed that significant changes were made in the car parking system.
As per the government order vehicles belonging to the members of the assembly flashing beacon lights were also not been allowed to enter inside the premise of the august house.
