Rajkot\Panchmahal: Three persons were arrested with huge cache of explosives including ammonium nitrate, detonators and gelatin sticks from Surendranagar and Panchmahal districts, police said today.

In Surendranagar Kalpesh Gohil (29) was arrested for illegally carrying large stock of explosives materials from Limbdi town late last night, Surendranagar district police said.

Gohil was carrying huge stock of explosives in his car when Surendranagar Special Operation Group (SOG) officials intercepted him on Rajkot-Ahmedabad national highway near Limbdi town, they said.

Explosives recovered from Gohil include 50 kg ammonium nitrate, 850 gelatin sticks, 300 electric detonator and 100 safety fuse, police said.

Gohil has been booked under Explosive Substance Act and is likely to be produced before court in Surendrangar, they said.

While in Godhra taluka of Panchmahal district, two persons were arrested with explosives including 84 detonators and 52 gelatin sticks, police said.
