Imphal: Two unidentified militants were
killed in two separate encounters in Imphal East and Chandel
districts of Manipur this morning, official sources said.
One unknown armed militant was killed in an encounter with
Imphal East police commandos at Sana Pat area under the Lamlai
police station in Imphal East district at around 7.20 am,
sources said.
Another unidentified militant was killed in another
encounter Assam Rifle personnel at Wangphurok area under the
Tengnoupal police station in Chandel district at around 6.15
am, they said.
One AK-56 rifle and one 9 mm pistol were seized from the
deceased, the sources added.
