Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition UDF in Kerala
today alleged that CPI-M's ties with Abdul Nasser Madani's PDP
led to the growth of religious fundamentalism in the state.
The tie-up the CPI-M had with PDP during the last Lok
Sabha polls and after that resulted in the growth of religious
fundamentalism and the ruling party had a hidden agenda in the
alliance, Congress-led Front Convener P P Thanckachan told
reporters here today.
CPI-M wanted to weaken Indian Union Muslim League (IUML),
a partner in the UDF, he said.
"PDP, RSS, BJP and NDF have no political relevance in
Kerala politics and UDF approach to these parties is same,"
Thanckachan said.
CPI-M should show the courage to disown its alliance with
PDP, in the wake of PDP chief Madani's wife, Soofiya, being
listed as an accused in the 'Tamil Nadu bus burning case', he
said.
