Lucknow: In an effort to bring adivasis living in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, where Naxals are active, into the mainstream, the state police will coach tribal aspirants wanting to join the force.

ADG (law and order) Brij Lal said here today that the district police has made arrangements to provide 10-days coaching to 224 candidates who are to appear in a recruitment exam for the force on March 28.

He said this step was taken after it was found that the aspirants had no information about the details of the examination process or syllabus.

Officials in Sonebhadra found that as these candidates were totally ignorant about the syllabus, they decided that they should be provided with the necessary information in order to help them join the mainstream, Brij Lal said.

Thirteen teachers and some police officers would coach them for the examination, the ADG added.
