Hyderabad: The Winter session of Andhra
Pradesh Legislature will begin here on December Seven.
The State Cabinet which met here today under the
Chairmanship of Chief Minister K Rosaiah has decided to
conduct the winter session till December 23, sources said.
The sources said the state government would seek an
additional Rs 500-crore loan from the World Bank for Andhra
Pradesh Rural Poverty Eradication Programme. The State
government would spend Rs 168-crore towards this programme,
the sources added.
The Cabinet also gave its nod for creation of 1,200 posts
in 40 categories in the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation
Corporation. The new posts are required in view of the massive
capacity addition project being taken up by APGENCO.
The new posts would cause an additional financial burden
of Rs 43.8-crore on the State government, the sources added.
