Nashik: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has already started election campaigning in Nandgaon assembly constituency in the district, where his son - Pankaj Bhujbal is contesting October 13 assembly elections on NCP's ticket.
Nandgaon, a drought-prone and an undeveloped tehsil has a total electorate of 2,81,790 including 1,37,295 women with a total 291 polling centres.
Late Bhausaheb Hiray was elected from the constituency for the first time in 1957 when 'Samyukta Maharashtra Movement' was at its peak and people went against ruling
Congress that time, but Bhausaheb Hiray declared elected as a Congress candidate.
