Hardwar: A sixty-year-old man reached here on a bicycle from Gujarat to take a holy dip in the river Ganga and seek spiritual solace in the company of saints and mahatmas.

It took around three weeks for Natwarlal Jethalal Patel (60) to cover a distance of around 1700 km from Visnagar in North Gujarat to Haridwar in Uttarakhand. Mr Patel, who runs a small food joint in Visnagar, is a spiritually-inclined man. He has travelled this much distance to spend time with devotees in Kumbh Mela and render some service to saints.

An avid cyclist, Mr Patel had travelled to Tirupati Balaji and Amarnath from Gujarat in the past. He says he spend six month in his home town and other six months visiting religious places on his bicycle.
