New Delhi: Another low-floor bus of the Delhi Transport Corporation caught fire in the national capital Monday. No one was injured in the incident, a DTC official said. This is the sixth bus to catch fire in the recent times.
The flames were reported from the rear engine of the bus near Lajpat Nagar in the afternoon. The bus was plying on the Delhi-Noida route.
"A bike-rider informed me about the fire in the engine. I got down and doused it with the fire extinguisher kept in the bus. All the passengers safely disembarked," said bus driver Charan Singh.
