Mumbai: A team of the state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) will on Wednesday leave for the national capital to question the 27-year-old suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative arrested by Delhi Police's Special Cell.

Mohd Aslam alias Salim was arrested from New Delhi railway station yesterday, an hour before he was to board a Nanded-bound train.

The police allegedly recovered four detonators, two timers and two kgs of explosive chemicals from him.

"We will interrogate him and ascertain if he was part of a module planning terror strikes in Maharashtra and Mumbai. We might also try to find out if he was involved in any of the previous terror strikes in the city," ATS chief K P Raghuvanshi told agency.

He said that it is essential for the ATS to question him as he was scheduled to board a train to Nanded in Maharashtra.
