Agartala: Bangladesh Minister for
Industries Dilip Barua on Tuesday arrived here to attend the
valedictory session of the 20th Industries and Commerce fair
of the state, officials said.
Barua would grace the session as Chief Guest. The
function would be presided over by Tripura Industries and
Commerce Minister Jiten Chowdhury, they said.
The Bangladesh Minister would meet Chief Minister
Manik Sarkar, Government officials and business leaders of the
state and discuss issues on enhancing trade between Bangladesh
and the North-Eastern state of Tripura.
He would also explore the possibility of investment
from Bangladesh in this land-locked state.
Barua would leave for Dhaka tomorrow.
Tripura has 856 km-long border with the neighbouring
country.
