Patna: After recent Lok Sabha debacle, RJD
and its ally LJP have taken the upcoming bypolls to 18
Assembly seats in Bihar as a major challenge.
"We are treating this election as a step ahead of our
preparations for the upcoming Assembly polls in Bihar," RJD
Chief Lalu Prasad told joint election rallies with LJP's
Paswan at Ramgarh. He also held rallies in Chainpur and
Chenari Assembly segments.
Claiming that the Nitish Kumar government was a failure
on all fronts, Prasad said as erstwhile central ministers he
and Paswan had ensured adequate central assistance to the
state. "But it is unfortunate that no development is seen in
Bihar now," he said.
There was tremendous rise in the atrocities on Dalits,
women, minorities and poor during the four-year-long rule of
Kumar, he alleged.
Paswan criticised Kumar for allegedly dividing the
society in the name of Mahdalits and demanded that the state
government make public the report of the commission on
Mahadalits without any delay.
