Coimbatore: Local people today caught a person
who gave the slip to police from a police station where he was
taken for interrogation in connection with a car theft.
According to police sources, Karthikeyan of nearby
Tirupur had lodged a complaint that he was waylaid by two
youths and after pulling him out of his car, they sped away
with his vehicle last night, near Palladam.
Police managed to take both- Shiva and Krishnaji--
into custody and kept them in Palladam police station for
interrogation. However, Shiva gave the slip to police late
night, they said.
As efforts were on to trace Shiva, local people nabbed him
in a remote area and handed him over to police, sources said.
