Bhopal: Main Opposition Congress on Saturday said
it will raise the issues of "corruption" in the implementation
of NREGA and inclusion of "tainted" ministers in the cabinet
among others during the 11-day long Madhya Pradesh Assembly
session beginning from November 16.
"Rampant corruption is taking place in the implementation
of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGA) in
Madhya Pradesh and billions of rupees being received by the
state under it are siphoned off by the ruling establishment,"
Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Jamuna Devi told
reporters here.
The party will also raise the issue of "deepening power
crisis in the state, corruption in Prime Minister's Rural Road
Scheme, land mafia, problems faced by tribals in getting land
rights and farmers not getting assistance from the disaster
relief fund despite declaring 37 districts drought affected
among others", she said.
Congress will also take up the issue of spread of malaria
and dengue fever in the state with health machinery "failing"
to check it.
