Mumbai: Dreaded Uttar Pradesh gangster
Munna Bajrangi, accused of killing BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai,
was arrested by the Delhi Police here on Thursday.
A special team of Delhi Police, in coordination with
their Mumbai counterparts, nabbed Bajrangi from suburban
Malad, a senior Crime Branch official told a news agency.
The elusive gangster was staying under a fake name Prem
Singh, the officer added.
Munna Bajrangi was accused of killing BJP MLA Krishnanand
Rai in November 2005.
Rai, an MLA from Mohammadipur in UP, his police gunman
and five others were shot dead at a place about 50 km from
Ghazipur district headquarters.
Bajrangi, wanted in several criminal cases in UP, Delhi
and few other places, is considered close to Mukhtar Ansari,
