Ex-Andhra Library chief held in Reliance attack case

Guntur (AP): Former chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Library Authority K Sambasiva Rao was arrested on Monday for his alleged involvement in Reliance establishments attack case, police said.

Following media reports alleging that there could be a conspiracy by Ambani brothers behind the death of chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash on September 2, supporters of Jaganmohan attacked Reliance outlets and premises in the night of January 7.

Rao alleged that the state police are acting at the behest of Reliance company and that attempts to harass the followers of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, a Congress MP and son of YSR will not succeed.

Ten persons have been arrested so far in the attack case, police said.

Earlier, journalists of TV channels TV-5, NTV and Sakshi TV owned by Jaganmohan who were arrested for airing stories quoting a website report that there could be a conspiracy by Ambani brothers behind the death of YSR, were granted bail today in Hyderabad.
