Medininagar: Three persons were
arrested on Wednesday for allegedly supplying arms to Maoists in
Palamu district, police sources said.
The arrested were identified as Mohammad Ismail alias
Mintu and Bablu Ansari, both residents of Medininagar, and
Muzahir Alma, a resident of Barwadih in Latehar district,
Deputy Superintendent of Police K M Lal told newsmen.
The trio was arrested near Chinyaki agriculture farm and
six US-made pistols, 11 cartridges, three mobile phones, Rs
4,500 in cash and a motorcycle were seized from them, Lal
said.
The police were on the look out for the kingpin of the
gang, which procured firearms from outside Jharkhand for
supplying it to Maoists.
