Dubai: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan hopes Shiv Sena will relent in its protest against the release of his film 'My Name Is Khan' this Friday.

"I hope better sense prevails in Mumbai. We have worked really hard on the movie and we just want people to watch the movie," Shah Rukh said during a press conference in Abu Dhabi.

However, besides answering a couple of questions on the subject Shah Rukh largely steered clear of the controversy surrounding the release in Mumbai and chose to focus on the movie which is set to hit the theaters on February 12.

"It's a special film for all of us and I thank Karan and Kajol for the love and support," he added. Film's director Karan Johar said that the journey for this movie began in February 2007 and added that an enormous amount of research has gone into its making.

On sharing the screen with his famed co-star Kajol, Shah Rukh said they have both matured as actors and respect each other.

He also praised Kajol, 34, for retaining her freshness and earnestness that made her so popular when she arrived on the Bollywood scene in 1992.

Kajol, on the other hand, said the difference from the days of 'Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge' is that Shah Rukh, 44, is perhaps looking better.
