Jammu: A top commander of the terrorist group Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) was killed in a gun battle with security forces in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday.
Mohammad Amin alias Rahi was killed in Sigdhi area of Kishtwar district, 240 km north-east of Jammu, late Saturday.
Amin, who had been dodging the security forces, was traced late Saturday and killed in a gun battle.
"He was district commander of HuJI and wanted in several cases of killings and extortions," Superintendent of Police (Kishtwar) Haseeb Mughal said.
