Guwahati: Senior IPS officer Sharada Prasad
on Thursday challenged the recent appointment of Shankar Baruah as
Assam DGP.
According to official sources, Prasad, the Director
General of Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau, today moved
the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) challenging Baruah's
appointment.
Prasad claimed that he was one year senior to Baruah in
police service.
Neither Prasad nor Baruah were immediately available for
their comments.
