Jamshedpur: The President of Jharkhand
People's Party (JPP), Surya Singh Besra today joined BJP in
the presence of Jharkhand BJP president Raghuvar Das at a
simple function here.
Embracing Besra in the party told, Das, a former
Jharkhand Finance minister, said Besra has a immaculate
political career stretched over three decades and did never
compromised with the interest of the state or its people.
Speaking on the occasion, Besra, a Founder President of
JPP's student wing, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) said
he has observed that BJP was the only party which had
"fulfilled the aspiration of the tribal populace of the
state."
"BJP had kept its promise and created separate Jharkhand
State in 2000, played a major role for inclusion of Santhali
language in the 8th Schedule of the constitution and former
Chief Minister Arjun Munda-led NDA government had honoured
4500 Jharkhandi activists, who actively taken part in the
separate statehood movement," he said.
Among other, former Jharkhand Health Minister Dinesh
Sarangi, MLA, former MLA Menka Sardar, Jharkhand state unit
president of BJP's intellectual cell, Devendra Singh, the
Presidents of East Singhbhum district's urban and rural
committees, Chandrasekhar Mishra and Tahsildar Hansda,
district secretary Nandji Prasad were present on the occasion.
