Mumbai, July 02: The 54-year-old victim, who was allegedly raped by Sriram mills scion Abhishek Kasliwal in 2006, on Thursday continued her deposition before a session’s court.

The victim, who was untraceable since 32 months, had first appeared in court on June 19, this year and had identified Kasliwal as the perpetrator of the crime.

The deposition took place behind closed doors and no reporters were allowed inside the courtroom of additional sessions judge Malpani Pawar.

The victim came to court with her face covered to protect her identity. Kasliwal, who is currently out on bail, sat through the entire proceedings while public prosecutor Usha Kiran Makasare asked the victim to narrate the incident before the judge.

Kasliwal has been accused of raping the woman on the night of March 11. He offered her a lift from Colaba in south Mumbai to her home but then took her to the mill compound in Worli and allegedly raped her in his car.

Kasliwal was arrested, charged with rape, assault and criminal intimidation and initially kept in custody but later granted bail by the High Court in April 2006; the court, however, barred him from entering the city limits. He was allowed to enter Mumbai only in May 2009.
