Marathi novelist Baba Kadam passes away

Kolhapur: Popular Marathi novelist Veersen Aanandrao alias Baba Kadam passed away today. He was 78.

Baba Kadam born on May 4, 1933, did his schooling from Vidyapeeth High School, Kolhapur and after graduation from the Chhatrapati Rajaram College he studied Law and worked as a police prosecutor.

While working as a police prosecutor he experienced number of human incidents related to humourous side, which he penned down his experiences in the court and he became popular as a novelist.

He wrote more than 50 novels. Even some Marathi hits 'Bhalu', 'Panch', 'Najuk Bote' were made from his novels. His popular novels amongst them are 'Insaf', 'Badla', 'Shwetgiri', 'Nirmala'.
