Jaipur: With death toll touching 35, a team of National Disaster Relief Force was still removing debris weighing around 2,000 tones to locate at least 15 more missing labourers feared trapped in the bridge, which collapsed over Chambal river in Kota on December 24.

49 members of NDRF from Ahmedabad took over the job yesterday, and working since last night to remove the junk of steel and iron bridge from the site, IGP Rajiv Dasot said.

"So far, there have been no more recovery of body from the site today," the IGP said.

Rescuers literally could not get any success today, as the river was in high spate and crocodiles' rarely miss any animal or human body, the IGP said adding about 70 per cent of rubble was shifted with recovery of 35 bodies till yesterday.

Approximately 8,000 tonnes of under-constructed bridge tumbled down in which scores of labourers working on the ill-fated day of December 24 died, he said,

NDRF team will also search bodies under the river water with the help of camera and drilling equipments, he said.
