Shimla: There was no let up in the cold
conditions in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh even as
the state capital and the lower hills enjoyed a pleasant day
in the absence of rain or snow on Monday.
Keylong, the headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti district,
was the coldest place in the state with a night temperature of
minus 8.9 degree celsius, the Met office said.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district had a night temperature of
minus 3.3 degrees.
In the Queen of the Hills, however, the day
temperature was recorded at a comfortable 15.7 degrees while
the mercury settled at a low of 4.7 degrees at night.
The Met office said Sundernagar had a day temperature
of 21.6 degrees, Bhuntar 22.1 degrees and Dharamsala 21.2
degrees.
It forecast mainly dry weather tomorrow.
